TWO RAVENS HERBALS LLC.
Two Ravens Herbals, LLC. is a small, family-owned business of schooled professional clinical herbalists growing and wildcrafting medicinal plants. With more than 25 years combined experience, we are proud and honored to bring to you these high quality herbal medicines.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
To ensure superior quality and support a healthy planet, plants gathered from the wild are harvested in clean and healthy habitats in an ecologically sensitive manner. Plants gathered from gardens and farms are organically grown. All are harvested at their peak of medicinal strength. Imported herbs are of the best quality available, non-radiated and sulphur free.
Two Ravens Herbals, LLC. extracts are personally formulated and hand-made in small quantities according to standards of the U.S. Pharmacopeia. They are macerated for at least 1 month in a 1:2 ratio (herb weight: volumn menstruum) with 95% pure grain alcohol. When used, dried herbs are promptly and carefully dried to retain their medicinal integrity and processed by cold-percolation in a ratio of 1:5 (weight : volumne). Varying percentages of alcohol are used depending on the herb. This helps to ensure consistency of strengths. The suggested dose on each bottle is applied according to these standardized models of extraction.
Alcohol is an excellent medium for extracting plant constituents and acts as a preservative. Alcohol tinctures are metabolized very quickly, have a long shelf-life, are convenient and user-friendly. To evaporate most of the alcohol, add boiling water to the appropriate dosage and allow to sit for at least five minutes.
